Philippe Etienne - Managing Director

Philippe joined Securency as Managing Director in October 2010. His career began with an eight year stint at Bonds Coats Patons and then 25 years with ICI Australia/Orica in a diverse range of marketing and managerial roles in Australia and overseas.

Philippe has managed businesses in consumer, industrial and high technology fields at Product Management, Divisional Management and Group Management levels including Executive Committee membership of Orica Limited, an ASX50 Australian Listed company. He was a board member of the Federal Government-appointed ‘Council on Australian Latin American Relations’.

David Wake - Chief Financial Officer

David Wake - Chief Financial Officer

David joined Securency as CFO in February 2010. This followed from 26 years of large organisation experience in Unilever, ICI and Akzo Nobel including 12 years spent working on the east coast of the United States and in Europe.

David’s career has included experience in Finance and Strategy, General Management, Information Technology, Consumer Marketing and Sales.

This has included leading and controlling the Financial Planning, International Accounting, Accounting Systems and Control & Compliance departments of a $4bn specialty chemical company that operated in over 70 countries through 90 reporting units.

Dr. Jaime Pacreu - Director General, Securency Mexico

Dr. Jaime Pacreu - Director General, Securency Mexico

Jaime joined Securency México in October 2007 as Director General. He has over 34 years experience in various positions at Banco de México including roles as Manager of the Banknote Printing Works, Chief Cashier, and Director of Currency Issue. In this last position, he was responsible for all currency matters, both coins and banknotes, in México.

Jaime has been a Board member of the Mexican Mint, the Advisory Committee of the Pacific Rim Banknote Printers Conference, and has represented Banco de México in several national and international currency related forums and Associations.

Paul Zientek - Director of Operations

Paul Zientek - Director of Operations

Paul joined Securency in 2000 as Production Manager and in 2008 was appointed Head of Operations. Previous to this, Paul was a Research Scientist at Note Printing Australia and before that was an Experimental Scientist at the CSIRO.

Across his career, Paul has spent ten years in research & development, eight years in technical consulting, and four years in production management. His research & development experience has spanned three organisations – CSIRO, Note Printing Australia and Securency, and two fields – biomedical products and banknote substrate products.

Craig Coonan - Director of Human Resources

Craig Coonan - Director of Human Resources

Craig joined Securency as Director of HR in December 2010. He has previously held senior management roles in human resources at ANZ Banking Corporation, Biota Holdings, National Australia Bank, and Mayne Nickless Ltd.

Craig is a senior HR professional with over 25 years experience across a range of industries including transport, healthcare, financial services, biotechnology, IT and consulting. He is highly skilled in all areas of HR management with extensive experience in change management, cultural transformation and executive team coaching.

Brendon Rowse - Director of Strategy

Brendon Rowse - Director of Strategy

Brendon joined Securency as Strategic Planning Manager in 2007, and has been Director of Strategy since October 2010. Prior to his current role, he worked in senior strategic management roles at IRL BioPharm, WPI International, and Fletcher Building.

Brendon has developed a solid career track record in strategic and commercial roles, and is highly skilled in business/marketing modelling and valuation, operational improvement, corporate strategy, and strategic marketing.

Gary Power - Director of Technical Sciences

Gary Power - Director of Technical Sciences

Gary joined Securency as the Director of Technical Sciences in 1999. Before this current role, he enjoyed ten years at UCB Sidac/UCB Films starting as Coating Development Chemist and progressing to the role of Chief Scientist in his last two years with the firm.

While at Securency, Gary has been the author of numerous academic papers and the author and inventor of many published patents. This includes world-leading research in polymers, liquid crystal devices, diffractive structures, diffractive optical projection, and optical inks.

Ian Stacey - Director of Global Sales

Ian Stacey - Director of Global Sales

Ian joined Securency as the Director of Global Sales in September 2010. He previously held General Manager and Senior Sales and Marketing roles with Total Petrochemical Asia, Atofina, and Hoechst Rousell Vet GMBH.

Ian has significant Australian and international experience in senior management and strategic commercial roles, and is highly skilled in strategic negotiations and commercial stakeholder management, sales and marketing strategy, and technical and product development.

Geoff Bell - Chief Risk and Compliance Officer

Geoff Bell - Chief Risk and Compliance Officer

Geoff joined Securency as Chief Risk and Compliance Officer in February 2011. He has 25 years financial, audit and compliance experience across the telecommunications, chemicals and banking sectors.

Geoff started his career with Esso Petroleum in Canada and has worked with Northern Telecom, Gulf Canada, Touche Ross, Deloitte, Suncorp-Metway, the ANZ Banking Group and most recently the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC).
